Discuss:
- Now that you know the Old Covenant has a conditional promise, does that impact the way you read the Old Testament?
- Why do you think it is helpful to read the Old Testament? Do any of the reasons discussed resonate with you?

- What is it about a rule that makes it feel controlling instead of caring?
- Have you considered that God declared a relationship with the people of Israel before giving the Ten Commandments? What do you think of this?

- How has the consistent pattern of trusting yourself instead of God played out in your life? What did you learn about God from it?
- How can you find meaning and purpose in times of uncertainty, much like the 400 years of silence between the Old Covenant and New Covenant?
