1. How have you seen the impact of Adam and Eve’s disobedience play out in the people or culture around you? 
2. Why do you think God had the one rule?

1. Now that you know the Old Covenant has a conditional promise, does that impact the way you read the Old Testament?
2. Why do you think it is helpful to read the Old Testament? Do any of the reasons discussed resonate with you?

1. What is it about a rule that makes it feel controlling instead of caring?
2. Have you considered that God declared a relationship with the people of Israel before giving the Ten Commandments? What do you think of this?

Discuss:

1. How has the consistent pattern of trusting yourself instead of God played out in your life? What did you learn about God from it?
2. How can you find meaning and purpose in times of uncertainty, much like the 400 years of silence between the Old Covenant and New Covenant?
